Weekend Getaway Planning Services

You need a trip — a weekend getaway. But you’re short on time, energy, motivation, know-how, or all of the above. Don’t let that stop you from having a life-energizing experience. Let us take some of the work off your hands and help you create an intentionally curated travel itinerary.

We can help you find lodging that suits your budget, restaurants that delight your tastes, and excursions that spark joy.

All you need is 2 days of PTO, a packed bag, and an adventurous spirit (and maybe a passport too).

We also prioritize partnering with Black-owned, people of color-owned, and locally-owned businesses and vendors that are welcoming and open to Black people.

Group Trips

Travel with others and build community, create memories, and unlock new insights.

Black-forward travel

Whether it’s selecting Black-owned vendors, curating experiences that cater to our likes, wants, and needs, or just encouraging our travelers to show up as themselves as they travel, we believe that bringing our Blackness to the forefront of travel leads to better experiences for our community.

Leading with our Blackness means we bring our full selves when we travel.

And it’s our secret sauce to transformative travel.

For us, leading with Blackness when traveling fosters:

  • better cross-cultural exchange,

  • healing self-discovery, and

  • an opportunity for deeper connections

Meet our Founder: Randi

Hi there! I’m Randi.

The H.T.I.C. (Head Traveler In Charge) at Black On Arrival. Pittsburgh native. Global citizen.

It all began with a study abroad trip to Santiago, Costa Rica. For three months, I frolicked around the country, beach to beach, hostel to hostel, and new experience to new experience. After saying “This is my first time doing xyz,” for the fifty-leventh time, one of my study abroad-mates suggested I keep a list of new things I tried in Costa Rica, and by the end of the 3 months, I had a list of 21 things.

I had been bitten by the travel bug. And I was forever changed.

Since then, I’ve lived in and/or traveled to 20 countries and have learned the insane amount of value in travel along the way.

Now, I share my travel stories, experiences, and lessons on YouTube and help others create their own life-enriching travel experiences through curating custom travel itineraries for clients and hosting thoughtfully designed group trips.

Why you should work with us?

We tailor our products, services, and experiences to meet the needs and desires of Black travelers. We try to select destinations and vendors that are welcoming and open to Black people and Black culture.

Whether it’s working with Black-owned and people of color-owned hotels, restaurants, and tour operators or creating itineraries that center cultural learning and exchange, we center all of you in our travel planning.

We are also expert travelers, hospitality connoisseurs, and experienced hosts. And we have extensive experience creating magical travel experiences.

See some of our past work.
